A FANS' group have plenty of fundraisers in the pipeline as they strive to help out cash-starved Kidderminster Harriers.
The Kidderminster Harriers Independent Supporters Trust (KHIST) forked out £5,000 for shares at the end of 2004 and the money has been used for team building.
Members raised the funds through their bucket appeal at home games, where they are trying to fill a football pitch with virtual five pence pieces, and other donations.
KHIST chairman Alan Shepherd encouraged people to continue lining their buckets and added: "We are now stepping up the events we are putting on."
An auction of sporting memorabilia and an evening with former Harriers players, likely to be held at Wilden Village Cricket Club, are among the occasions to look forward to.
And Shepherd added: "As well as raising money to go towards the Harriers, we also want to bring the club and the community together.
"We are not picking up new members really but we are picking up plenty of goodwill."
KHIST still hope to arrange a charity friendly with Worcester City involving mixed teams of supporters and former players of the clubs.
Harriers are holding a fans forum evening with boss Stuart Watkiss, chairman Colin Youngjohns and other guests on Friday, February 11, in the Aggborough Suite (7.30pm).
Meanwhile, Harriers and Southend fans and officials donated just over £1,000 at Monday's game in a collection for the Tsunami appeal.
Released duo Jon Beswetherick and Liam Burns have both signed for Forest Green Rovers.
