RADIO listeners have raised more than £25,000 to see one of Worcester's best-known presenters shave off his moustache.
Dave Bradley, of BBC Hereford & Worcester, took the step in front of hundreds of rugby fans at half-time during the Worcester Warriors vs Leonessa rugby match on Friday night, to raise funds for the survivors of the Asian Tsunami disaster.
Mr Bradley told listeners just after the event that he felt "useless" in light of the tragedy.
But now he is able to pay for 50 shelter boxes, which will provide a temporary home and essentials such as electricity and clean water to more 500 people.
The response to the event left Mr Bradley speechless - something he admits doesn't happen very often.
"As a radio presenter it is not often I am left lost for words - but I am now," he said.
"The response has been overwhelming and I would like to thank everyone who has donated.
"It is a small price having my moustache shaved off if it will help hundreds of people."
