POLICE are warning Worcestershire's motorists that faulty lights could cause accidents even if the standard of driving is otherwise fine.
With many dark, foggy mornings and evenings to come before the arrival of better weather, police are urging drivers to keep their vehicles in good working order.
"Poor weather and lighting conditions means the maintenance of all the lights on your vehicle is very important at this time of year," said a Worcester Police spokesman.
"Your visibility as a driver and the safety of other road users and pedestrians could be impaired by faulty lights.
"There is a possibility that faulty lights could result in an accident even if your driving is fine."
The Road Policing Unit across Worcester regularly carries out checks on vehicles, including checking faulty lights.
