SO Councillor Dan Wicksteed thinks I should look at the big picture, regarding education funding (Letters, Friday, December 31).
How much of the big picture do you want to see Dan? Worcestershire slipping from 17th rank position out of 34 shire counties in 1997, to an incredible 32nd out of 34 in 2004?
Or would you prefer to look at the cash gap deficit between our county and the English average trebling to a whopping £390 less per child per year, over the last seven years?
Take your pick, Dan.There's plenty to choose from.
HELEN DONOVAN,
Evesham.
