A SECOND bout of stormy weather, with winds reaching 80mph is expected to buffet the county tonight.
The Evening News' weatherman, Paul Damari, predicted a heavy bout of rain this afternoon, followed by the high winds across Worcestershire overnight.
"In open areas, the winds might reach 80mph, but in more built up and sheltered areas, we are expecting speeds of between 50 and 70mph," he said.
"It's the second bout of stormy weather in a week, and winds will be strong enough to cause structural damage, and perhaps bring down trees weakened during the gusts on Saturday.
"People ought to take care and not travel unless absolutely necessary," said Mr Damari.
