A BRAINY Chinese student has proved she is top of the class - after scooping a place at Oxford University's Lady Margaret Hall to study Mathematics and Statistics.
Eighteen-year-old Haohao Xu - a pupil at St James' School in Malvern's West Malvern Road - is over the moon about hearing the news.
It comes after the talented pupil, who is studying for four A-levels at the school, completed her Mathematics A-level in one year instead of two - and got an A.
Five students at Malvern's Chase Technology College - in Geraldine Road - are also among those who have been offered Oxbridge places.
