THE first event after the holidays found the Young Rangers feeling heavy after eating too much, so it was time for some exercise.
The walk started off on a cold day in Habberley Valley, with muddy conditions underfoot.
After walking for 10 minutes, the group stopped at a small waterfall, and it was suggested that the Young Rangers could make a dam using logs and dead leaves.
The youngsters had a great time stomping about in lots of mud.
It was time to carry on with the walk, but the Young Rangers would not be beaten, and proceeded to build the dam, while getting even more muddy and wet.
Just when it seemed the dam had been completed, the heavens opened, so the group headed for home.
