Stourbridge 2
Studley 0
"WE'RE playing the hardest team every week and that's ourselves," said Studley boss Kevin Rowlands after watching his side succumb to Alliance neighbours Stourbridge.
The Bees hit the woodwork twice and had an effort cleared off the line as they travelled to the War Memorial Ground forcing Rowlands to look hard at his three strikers rather than the defence.
He said: "Our forwards have cost us three points - they should have scored at least a goal each in the game.
"We should have been two or three up before they took the lead."
Trevor Whittington played Studley keeper as number one Kenny Sanders recovered from a foot injury.
But the Studley coach could do nothing to stop Bees debutante Vinney Rattray's own goal on 35 minutes as the centre back headed in from a corner.
The Glassboys' Jon Ford secured all three points from the penalty spot on 73 minutes.
Rowlands added: "We're still taking positives out of the game and looking at it we've gone to third in the table and created the better chances."
