MONICA Hampton is still remembered with affection by Pershore Inner Wheel although she died eight years ago.
Members of the group have placed a bench in the town's St Andrew's Gardens in her memory.
Monica, who suffered from polio was an active member of the Inner Wheel and the president in Pershore in 1981.
The seat was dedicated on Inner Wheel day - the 81st anniversary of the founding of the group.
"Despite having had polio, Monica was a very happy and generous lady who is remembered with great affection," said Jacqui Cravos, the current president of Pershore Inner Wheel.
Members at the dedication ceremony were joined by Monica's husband Richard, a member of the Rotary Club of Pershore and a former Mayor of the town.
