YOUNGSTERS have been busying monkeying around as they took part in a theatre workshop based on the The Jungle Book at their school.
About 150 youngsters were involved in the event at the Claines CE Primary School in School Bank, Claines, yesterday.
Ellen Mills from the Birmingham Stage Company came into the school to lead the session, which involved the children pretending to be monkeys and act as if they were hypnotised by a snake.
It followed the children's visit to Birmingham's Old Rep before Christmas to see the company's production of Rudyard Kipling's classic tales.
"It went really well and the children absolutely loved it," said headteacher Pam Clements.
"It also gave them the opportunity to ask questions about the production and how certain effects were done."
