FORMER table-toppers The Invincibles are struggling to live up to their name after hitting a rough patch in the Gilt Edge Short Mat Bowling League.
They suffered their third successive defeat when they lost 11-8 and 8-4 to mid-table Squirrel. New leaders Telly Tubbies narrowly won their first half against Chestnuts 8-6 and came from behind to beat the side, who are 12 places below them, 12-10.
Tornadoes have put together several good wins to take them into second place, beating Blakedown 13-8 in the first half and drawing the second 6-6.
One of the tightest games was between Untouchables and Stourport with the latter edging the first 8-7 and losing the second 8-5.
In the battle of fourth v fifth, Brintons tied 8-8 with One for the Road in the first half and won the second 12-8.

On the county Scene, there was a close final of the singles competition with Ian Davis retaining the title by beating Jamie Watkiss.
