THERE are a lot of young people in Kidderminster who love music and live for it. About 50 per cent of us are into alternative styles of music, and this number is rising.
I, and perhaps many others, are deeply disappointed to discover that there is no record shop when they visit the town.
I think this is ridiculous.
Advertisements for Kidderminster's shopping complex are everywhere, trying to draw shoppers into the town, yet they wonder why Merry Hill and Birmingham are becoming the main shopping destinations.
Record shops are an important part of any town and we want to buy music that is not just chart (I am not being provocative).
If they really want people to remain in this developing town, I advise them to build (or use a building for) a record store or two.
