A HONEYBOURNE woman remains in a critical condition after being involved in a collision with a tractor towing a plough and then with a second vehicle.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which took place on the B4632 between Weston Subedge and Saintbury at 8.10am last Friday.

Following the collision the female driver of a silver Ford Ka, who has not been identified by police, was taken by Air Ambulance to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham, where her condition was described yesterday, Wednesday, as critical.

The incident occurred when the woman's car collided with a combination drill being towed by a John Deere tractor, went into a spin and collided with a red Nissan Micra.

The tractor driver, a 25-year-old man from Broadway, and the Nissan driver, a 49-year-old from the same village, were both unhurt in the collision.

Fire crews from Chipping Campden, Stow and Cheltenham were the first at the scene, where they battled to free the seriously injured woman.

Following her airlift to Selly Oak Hospital police closed the road for five hours to conduct an inquiry into the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call 0845 0901234.
