THE final round of Cotswold Floorball League A Division games produced a big turnaround of fortunes on Tuesday night.
Temple Guiting A started well against Mickleton with a goal from Louis Millar. Matt Byrd then scored from a close-range free hit before Joe Dancer put Guiting in the lead again.
Byrd equalised once more, only for Millar to add the winning touch to a 3-2 victory.
This result leaves Mickleton, usually regular play-off contenders, in the relegation zone.
A weakened Dormer House team then played well above themselves to send their old rivals to the B Division, producing better teamwork to earn a 5-1 win.
Sam Elson scored four well-taken goals with the fifth coming from Henry Leonard.
Rhys Woodfin had earlier given Mickleton the lead early in the game. James Drinkwater played superbly in the losers' goal, but was no match for an inspired Dormer attack.
In the final game of the night, a rejuvenated Guiting team deserved a surprise 3-1 win.
Dancer (2) and Richard Eayrs moved their team up to mid-table but couldn't prevent the holders from progressing as a top seeded qualifier.
Dormer House now proceed to the semi-finals and St Cath-arine's and Blockley will certainly join them.
A decision has yet to be taken about whether Guiting and Ilmington will be able to contest play-offs against the lower leagues - the table being so close at the end of the regular season.
Next week will see the final matches in the B Division. Stow are definitely into the play-offs, with St James or St Mary's in a position to join them.
It's the next round of National League matches on Sunday at the Spiceball Sports Centre in Banbury from 8.30am.
