At the family service Samantha Pates, a young church member, played Ode to Joy by Beethoven at the church organ to begin the service. On Christmas Eve the Christingle service was conducted by the Reverend Penny Hamer, curate, when the children took decorated drawings to the Christingle to help explain its meaning.
