UPTON Rowing Club was forced to cancel its heads of the river race for the third year running, due to bad weather conditions.
While members had worked hard to prepare for the event, there was widespread concern about Saturday's high winds.
Club member Penny Stevenson said: "Everyone was disappointed when the race was called off but the conditions on the river did not improve throughout the day.
"Upton Rowing Club will now be making plans for the regatta in July."
