BUDDING singers and songwriters have the chance to find out about a music course running at Worcester College of Technology with an open evening next week.

The event is being organised by national music training organisation Access to Music and is for people interested in enrolling

It is being held in the St Wulfstan's building in Deansway from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, January 20 and people will have a chance to look around the centre (which includes rehearsal rooms and a recording studio), meet staff and find out more.

The Performing Musician course, which enrols in September, is a full-time course for musicians aged 16+ who want to perform and record their own music.

Skills generated include song writing, instrumental skills, stagecraft/performance, musicianship and business and marketing skills.
