TO help Young Farmers' Clubs consider how they promote themselves to the outside world, the county is holding a Club Promotion competition, which is split into four parts:
n Presentation:
A team of four has to give a presentation (maximum of 15 minutes) as if to a group of potential members, taking what form they feel is relevant to work as a recruitment drive.
n Portfolio:
A portfolio containing information such as programmes, Press cuttings, newsletters, certificates, publicity material and photographs and any other information that potential members may be interested in viewing.
n Display Boards:
This is a staged exhibit, which is capable of being a stand-alone display used to promote the club.
n Word of Mouth:
This is quite often one of the most effective forms of advertising, particularly within YFC.
In this part of the competition the judges interview the team of four to find out more information about the club.
Five clubs battled it out in the County Round of the competition - Bromsgrove, Crowle, Cutnall Green, Inkberrow and Wythall, which ran out the enventual winners.
