NEWCOMER Nadeem Malik is in Worcestershire's side for their three-day friendly against Car-diff UCCE which starts at New Road tomorrow (11am).
The young seamer signed a two-year deal in December.
The match is part of a busy pre-season programme which was disrupted yesterday when the scheduled inter-squad game at Ombersley Cricket Club was cancelled because of rain.
County director of cricket Tom Moody said of the Cardiff game: "We are taking it seriously. It's an opportunity for all the players to get some time out in the middle."
The County side, led by skipper Ben Smith, is expected to be: Peters, Moore, Hick, Smith, Solanki, Pipe, Rhodes, Mason, Malik, Shaftab, Harrity.
