WORCESTERSHIRE'S new Basil D'Oliveira Stand is to be officially opened on Tuesday, May 4.
The ceremony will take place at 11.30am before the start of the County's National League Division Two match against Nottinghamshire.
New Road chairman John Elliott said at last night's annual meeting of members: "The stand is 75 per cent finished. I think, and lots of other people think, it's a wonderful asset to the club.
"It's an asset in many ways and makes it look a terrific arena. There will be some great viewing from up there and it also gives us facilities for our disabled members.
"All the other facilities at the back of it are welcome and much needed by the club.
"The floods have intervened but we are still very confident that the stand will be ready for the start of the season."
The County have still to announce who will perform the opening ceremony of the 2,000-seater stand at the Diglis end of the ground.
