WORCESTERSHIRE off-spinner Gareth Batty has been included in England's team for the match against Nicky Oppenheimer's XI in Randjesfontein tomorrow.
Captain Michael Vaughan, however, has decided to rest for the opening match of England's South Africa tour.
Vaughan will miss the traditional tour curtain-raiser allowing Marcus Trescothick, who missed the tours of Namibia and Zimbabwe, to lead the side in his absence.
All eight of the Test specialists who flew into Johannesburg for preparation several days ago are also included in the line-up.
Torrential rain greeted England's arrival from Bulawayo yesterday but, weather permitting, the squad will have their first work-out today at the Wanderers in preparation for tomorrow's opening match.
England team: M Trescothick (capt), R Key, M Butcher, G Thorpe, A Flintoff, P Collingwood, C Read (wkt), G Batty, S Jones, M Hoggard, S Harmison.
