WORCESTERSHIRE found themselves on the wrong side of the law in their Frizzell County Championship Division One relegation tussle against Lancashire at New Road.
The County bowlers copped a century from Stuart Law who helped lift the visitors to 350-8 by the close last night.
The Aussie served a five-hour stretch to make it a hot day in the field for Worcestershire, who lost the toss for the seventh Championship match in a row.
Law set to work after Mark Chilton was dismised by Andy Bichel and Mal Loye had become Matt Mason's 50th Championship scalp of the season.
Although Law took centre stage, Lancashire's tally was also topped up by Iain Sutcliffe, who hit 51 including ten fours off 120 balls. Glen Chapple then chipped in with 50 while putting on 108 in 25 overs with Law for the sixth wicket.
Chapple was finally dismissed by young Kadeer Ali -- the sixth bowler to pick up a wicket. The impressive Law smacked a six and 24 fours off 227 deliveries before being trapped leg before by Bichel, who ended with figures of 3-56.
Rain prevented a prompt start when the match resumed today.

The Countywere all out for 249 in reply to the hosts first innings total of 450-7 declared. They followed on 201 behind and were dismissed for 109.
