PACEMAN Kabir Ali is in danger of missing Worcestershire's Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy final against Gloucestershire at Lord's on Saturday, August 28.
He could be sidelined for up to three weeks with a torn stomach muscle which he suffered during the County's totesport League victory at Middlesex last Sunday.
Kabir's chances of playing for England in the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy series against India are also in doubt.
New Road chief executive Mark Newton said today: "He's having daily treatment and everybody is keeping their fingers crossed that he makes a quick recovery."
Recently signed Zimbabean spinner Ray Price, meanwhile, is in line to make his Championship debut in Worcestershire's match against Sussex at Hove tomorrow.
