WORCESTERSHIRE expect to know the extent of Kabir Ali's injury later today.
The paceman bowled just 11 deliveries before he was assisted off the field with a stomach muscle tear during yesterday's totesport League Division Two victory over Middlesex at Lord's.
"Kabir will be examined in detail later today," said County chief executive Mark Newton.
Before the start of the season Kabir underwent surgery for a double hernia and missed the first 11 games of the campaign.
His place in tomorrow's floodlit league match against Sussex at Hove is likely to Nadeem Malik.
Worcestershire, who beat Sussex by 21 runs at New Road in their opening game of the totesport League season, will be bidding to complete the 'double' and move to within just two points of leaders Middlesex with a game in hand.
