KADEER Ali blasted a double century on the first day of Worcestershire's Second XI Championship clash against Somerset.
The 21-year-old hit 30 fours and seven sixes at Kidderminster Victoria's Chester Road ground on his way to a mammoth 221 in Worcestershire's 452-8 total in 89.1 overs. John Witney also weighed in with 56.
Somerset's Simon Francis was his side's most successful bowler, taking 6-100.
The visitors had reached 33-0 at the close of play on day one of three.
