WORCESTERSHIRE skipper Ben Smith is having intensive treatment on a knee injury which has forced him to miss the last two matches.
The problem will not require surgery and he hopes to be back in action soon.
He said: "There's something wrong with the cartilage, but hopefully with some intensive treatment over the next few days I shall be getting back soon. There's no need for an operation thankfully.
"I think I have had it for a little while and it just got a little bit worse in the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy semi-final at Edgbaston.
"It's a case of exercise and strengthening work around the knee to help take the pressure off the cartilage."
