On Monday morning, Mr George T Hollington, son of Mr Albert Hollington, needle manufacturer, met with a serious accident while shooting with a revolver.
The weapon was loaded with a blank cartridge, one of which had been discharged, a second chamber going off accidentally.
The contents of the cartridge entered Mr Hollington's left hand, which was considerably injured.
Under the care of Dr C Smith, Mr Hollington is making satisfactory progress.
