A FIRE which, it is believed was caused by a firework, broke out in the back of a saloon car in a garage of The Bungalow, The Slough, Crabbs Cross, on Sunday afternoon.
The owner went to Studley in the car during the morning and alleged that a boy threw a firework into the back of the car.
He searched for it but could not find it.
Later, he noticed smoke coming from the garage and found his car on fire.
Redditch and Studley Fire Brigades attended and damage was confined to the rear seat, although the interior of the car was damaged by smoke.
It is believed that the firework was hidden in the folds of the owner's coat, which was on the back seat.
