KEMP Hospice is asking people to think outside the box to help them with an urgent fund-raising problem.
Hospice fund-raising manager, Alan Ierston, needs people to help get the Hospice Sunflower Appeal lapel badge collection boxes out to the places that have agreed to take them.
Mr Ierston said: "We have around 150 boxes which we need to get out to a variety of places, from hairdressers to health centres and from pubs to corner shops and community centres.
"They then go back, around four weeks later, to collect them."
He said people would not be out of pocket because mileage was paid and a map and schedule were also provided.
Volunteers were also needed for a wide variety of other work, Mr Ierston said.
He explained: "This is because there has been a massive rise in the number of fund-raising events we do because of the imminent move to the new hospice in Mason Road."
Anyone who would like to volunteer to help can contact the fund-raising office on 01562 865105.
