TITLE-chasing Archdales were in breathtaking form as they swept aside Chelmsley 5-0 with a scintillating first-half performance.
Dales were first to the ball right from kick-off in the Midland Combination Division Two clash, dominating possession which culminated in the first goal.
Winger Ashley Banner beat his man to cross for Sam Green who smashed the ball into the top corner of the net.
Dales grew in confidence and began to spray the ball around with panache.
After another flowing passage of play, David Faulkner superbly found Jason Beck who powerfully headed past 'keeper Martin Finnemore.
Then came the goal of the game when the league's leading scorer Darren Tafft picked the ball up just inside his own half and ghosted past three defenders before nonchalantly slotting home for a sublime finish.
Teenage winger Green added the fourth with another impudent finish, lobbing in from 12 yards.
Beck hit the post with a fine header which would have topped off an outstanding first-half display.
In the second-half Dales continued to press forward but were again denied by the woodwork with both Neil Mogford and Carl Nesbitt striking the crossbar.
Flying full-back David Faulkner made it 5-0 with another lob from 20 yards after being excellently put through by Gordy Beauchamp to cap off a commanding show and keep the Dales on course for a shot at the title.
