THE hunt is on for photographs of the effects of wartime bombing on Redditch - images which seem to be few and far between.
Historians Alan Foxall and Ray Saunders, who are the authors of the popular Redditch Remembered book, are preparing another book on Redditch at war.
Mr Foxall said: "We have very few pictures of actual Second World War activity in the town.
"For example, we would very much like to illustrate the effects of the 1940 bombing as there are many accounts of the events but photographs seem to be non-existent."
He added: "This may be due to the wartime restrictions and perhaps none were allowed."
If anyone can help with wartime images in the town that can be copied for the book, they can call Mr Foxall on 543369 or Mr Saunders on 544658.
