Headless Cross residents are campaigning against plans to ban traffic from Evesham Road.
They say detailed plans for the development of the area should be drawn up before a bus only lane is brought into effect.
The area's residents' association believes such a drastic step should not be taken before new roads serving the area are opened.
The association's views are being sent to the county council, the authority responsible for implementing traffic orders.
