AWHIST drive to be organised by Cookhill British Legion is the first step in a scheme to provide a memorial to the two Cookhill men killed in the 1939-45 war.
Their names do not appear on the other memorials in the village.
The church treasurer, Mr T Barber, said he was glad to hear it as some sort of recognition of their sacrifice was long overdue.
