THERE'S an opportunity to get all shook up and celebrate the life of the king of rock n' roll, Elvis Presley, at a Valentine's disco on Friday February 4.
Elvis-mania has been sweeping the country of late as this year would have been the year he turned 70, and only this week he topped the charts with a re-release of One Night, gaining the coveted honour of the 1,000th number one single.
The 100 per cent Elvis disco, hosted by the Bromsgrove branch of the Elvis Presley Fan Club, will take place at Aston Fields Social Club on Stoke Road and will feature special guest Elvis impersonator Deke Rivers (pictured below).
Deke has won numerous competitions with his Elvis act and has several stage costumes covering the 50s, 60s and 70s.
Hot and cold meals are served at the club and the disco will start at 7.30pm until 11.30pm.
Spokesman for the club Harry Robinson said: "2005 is a great year for the music of Elvis. The king Elvis did not come back, but the fans did and they are still buying his records and going to our branch discos."
For more information on the fan club call 07762 675513 or 07910 511931. Admission to the party is £3.
