A WEDDING ring and other jewellery was stolen in a burglary in Headless Cross.
The ring is a man's Welsh and yellow gold wedding ring in a twisted design worth £460.
A women's bracelet, worth £350, and a half gold sovereign on a gold chain worth £150 were also taken together with £235 cash and a beard trimmer worth £25.
The burglary happened at a home in The Meadway between 10.30am-5pm on Tuesday, January 11.
Pc Eddie Mills, Redditch police's crime risk manager, said: "Doors and windows should always be locked when a house is left unattended, even if it's only for a short while.
"All windows should be fitted with locks, especially those at the back of the house and if doors are fitted with deadlocks, they should be used.
"Don't leave spare keys outside and keep car keys and garage keys out of sight in the house."
Pc Mills added: "Timers for lights and radios are a good idea as they create the impression someone is in.
"Security lighting is important, especially in the winter, and good quality fencing with trellis and prickly shrubs help to reduce the likelihood of a burglar climbing into the garden.
"Burglar alarms can be bought quite cheaply now and will reduce the risk of a house being targeted."
