WAR veterans helped raise funds for tsunami victims at the Worcestershire Royal British Legion annual conference at the weekend.
Chairman of Worcestershire County Council, Derek Prodger, welcomed committee members, branch delegates and visitors to County Hall where guests included the county patron, Lord Sandys, chairman of the Royal British Legion women's section, June Wildman, and county president Brigadier Rolph James CBE.
Guest speakers were Nigel Haines and Ian Small from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
Jeff King, county vice chairman, said more than 150 people attended the conference - close to record numbers.
"It was an excellent event and the talk by Mr Haines and Mr Small was enlightening and very educational," he said.
"And a raffle for the tsunami appeal raised £337."
