PUPILS and staff at Worcester's Cranham Primary School have raised £720 to help those affected by the Asian tsunami disaster.
The school held a staff raffle, a children's disco and a children's bring and buy sale where pupils brought in old toys to sell.
Valerie Holland, headteacher of the Tetbury Drive school in Warndon, said they raised significantly more than expected.
"When I spoke to the children I asked how much should we look to raise and they said £1,000. I said we'll go for £300 and anything over that would be a bonus," she said.
"The children were almost right."
