MALVERN Town made it four wins in a row and secured third spot in the Travel Factory Alliance last night.
Neil Hunt's in-form side defeated mid-table Racing Club Warwick 3-1 at the Langland Stadium.
They are now just one point behind Rushall Olympic in the second promotion spot.
Malvern's eighth home league win arrived courtesy of two goals from Phil Preedy and a single Simon Judge strike.
Experienced ex-Worcester City and Pershore Town forward Judge put the hosts ahead on 31 minutes. Preedy added two further goals on 72 and 83 minutes.
In between Preedy's strikes, Paul White pulled a goal back for Warwick who played at Southern Division level up until a few years ago.
Town added their Warwick scalp to victories over Causeway, Stourbridge and Stratford Town in recent weeks.
Malvern, eight points behind leaders Chasetown, are without a game this weekend.
n Worcester City racked up double figures in the Midland Floodlit Youth League Southern Division last night, thrashing Bromyard Town 11-0.
Bromsgrove Rovers and Malvern Town are due to meet tonight, while Evesham United go to Gloucester City.
n Fourth-from-bottom Pegasus Juniors need the points when they entertain Tuffley Rovers in the GLS Hellenic League Premier Division tonight (7.45).
