VETERAN 'keeper Tim Clarke will put the gloves on for Evesham United tonight in their Southern League Cup clash at Solihull Borough (7.45).
The former Kidderminster Harriers stopper has been called back from a loan spell with Oldbury United.
Regular 'keeper Dave Adey was carried off during the weekend's top-of-the-table defeat to Mangotsfield United.
With the recurrence of a groin injury looking like keeping Adey on the sidelines for two months, 36-year-old Clarke has a chance to stake his claim for the keeper's jersey.
It may be a distraction from their priority of gaining promotion but boss Dave Busst is keen for his players to produce the goods at Damson Park as the third round tie sees him return to his former club.
And with former Evesham pair Andy Smith and Mark Shepherd likely to figure for Solihull, it could be a lively cup tie.
Full-back Neil O'Sullivan was another to pick up an injury at Mangotsfield and his absence should pave the way for Danny Williams' return to the starting line-up.
Williams has largely had to be content with a place on the bench since his return from a December suspension.
And Richard Ball is eligible to play, despite his appearances for Sutton Coldfield Town earlier in the competition.
Solihull are one point off the relegation spots in the Southern League Premier Division following a 2-0 home win over Hitchin Town on Saturday.
