Sutton Coldfield 2nds 18
Redditch 6
SUTTON Coldfield returned the friendly fixture favour on Saturday but Redditch found their hosts not in the forgiving mood.
Just before Christmas the sides met at Bromsgrove Road and Redditch pummelled their guests by more than 50 points but it was a different story this time with Wil Wilson the only man netting the visitors any points.
Redditch took the lead through Wilson's boot before Sutton Coldfield ran in two tries and a penalty ahead of the interval to go in 15-6.
And a single penalty after the break took their lead to 18-6 at the finish.
Team manager Steve Moore said: "We murdered them last time so we were surprised, they fielded a very strong team.
"I wouldn't have been surprised if there were a few first team players in that side.
"They were the better side first half but we gave them a better game in the second."
Man of the match went to centre Lee Cross who was making his debut.

Redditch ran in six first half tries with Sutton scoring an unconverted kick and chase late on.
There was no score after the break.
