STOKE Prior First School hosted a Challenge Plus Day when pupils teamed up with other youngsters to set about the task of thinking up ideas to improve the world.
Yesterday's event, presented by Scott Hurd of Services for Education and Industry, was attended by pupils from Stoke Prior, Millfields, Fairfield, Hanbury, Tardebigge, Wychbold, Feckenham and Beoley.
Stoke's headteacher Jan Evans said the children joined together to brainstorm ideas that could make the world a better place and to design a concept/machine to further improve the planet.
"The children have worked hard and enjoyed themselves," she said.
"In addition to design and creative skills the children have been able to develop their communication and interpersonal skills."
