COFTON A went down to Lickey Monarchs 7-3 in the Bromsgrove and Redditch Table Tennis League Division One - despite a fine performance by Gordon Shaw.
Shaw won all three of Cofton's matches but Hardman, Wood and Clarke won two each and the doubles for Lickey.
Hillcrest lost 8-2 to West Midlands Phones A, which had Colin Would (3), Roger Ellerington (3) and Don Shillingford (2) victorious.
Droitwich A lost to Astwood Bank 9-1 and Phones B lost to Coughton 9-1, with Mick Kendall and Terry Rawlings winning three matches each for the victors.
Cofton Hackett B defeated Droitwich B 10-0 to go top of the table.
In Division One Phone C defeated Barnt Green 6-4, with wins for Ian Maybury (2), Alan Hyatt (3) and Dot Sheward.
Lickey Rocs got the better of SPSP 7-3, with Brian Askey and Bob Barlow winning two games each and the doubles.
Droitwich C and Studley Road Terriers drew 5-5, while Carter Retail overcame Droitwich D 9-1.
Droitwich E were no match for Studley Road Nomads - losing 10-0.
