A "SMALL school with a big heart" is holding a fund-raising Indian-themed evening to help raise cash for the victims of the Asian tsunami disaster.
Parents, pupils and staff at St Mary's Primary School, Pool Road, Studley, will combine their efforts on March 16 for the evening, which will include traditional Indian food, dance and entertainment.
Headteacher Mary Johnson said: "It's going to be quite a spectacular event for our school. The PTA is heavily involved and is approaching Indian restaurants in the area to see if they can help.
"So far, the children have been wonderful. They've given their pocket money and been raising little bits of money here and there.
"This evening will be that little bit more. We're only a small school but we've got a big heart."
