FAMILY historians can access details of burials in Britain with a new resource available at Alcester Library.
The second edition of the National Burial Index contains more than 13 million burial records from Anglican parish, non-conformist and cemetery burial registers in England and Wales from 1538 to the present day.
The cd-rom can be used on the library's free People's Network of computers during opening hours and is just one of a number of resources available for amateur genealogists.
Lesley Kirkwood, Warwickshire's local studies librarian, said: "We have picked up on the current interest in family history and are delighted to be able to support beginner and experienced researchers alike."
