PARISH COUNCIL: After a ballot, Mrs Julie Cross was co-opted onto the council, filling the vacancy caused by a resignation.
Pool Garden: It was agreed to accept a quotation and lower the hedge round the garden to four feet.
Glass recycling: It was agreed to wait and see if WDC would provide this service. It was pointed out that recycling bags were available for carrying bottles to existing bottle banks.
VE/VJ 60 years: Cllr Cross agreed to ascertain with the chairman interest in forming a village group to organise a single event.
WCC councillor Eyre reported that a speed camera was to be set up on the new B4084 between the Heath Works and the Cropthorne turning based on traffic statistics of the old A44. The chairman requested more information as the camera would appear unnecessary given that the usage of the road had been changed so much recently.
District Councillor's Report: WDC cllr Meikle reported that WDC hoped that the council tax would be held to the inflation target of 2.5 per cent.
Junction at Church Street/Station Road/Farm Street: It was reported that lorries were having to go on the wrong side of the bollard. The chairman is to speak to highways department about problems of parking here.
It was agreed that it should be minuted that the parish council is totally against the decision to impose three right-hand turning lanes at Fladbury Cross instead of introducing a speed limit.
