INTEREST AND LEISURE CLUB: Members were taken to The Roses theatre in Tewkesbury to see the pantomime Mother Goose where they were transported back into childhood. Angela and Alan Noyes were thanked for arranging such a successful outing.
The following week two coaches took members to The Wychwood Golf Club Restaurant, Lyneham for a New Year lunch. It was a lovely sunny day with views from the restaurant looking over the golf course and the countryside beyond. Chairman Ben Jeffrey donated wine for raffle prizes.
Colin Hancox was thanked for organising the event.
The club looks forward to a bingo afternoon towards the end of January.
GARDENING CLUB: The January meeting held in the Women's Institute Hall was well attended. The speaker for the evening was Ray Fardon, who gave an illustrated talk on gardens in the UK taken over a 12-month period. The chairman thanked the speaker.
The next meeting will be on Monday, February 21 when the subject will be Bulbous Plants.
