SCHOOLCHILDREN will be treated to a taste of the 60s as part of a Stourport school's 40th anniversary celebrations.
Staff at Areley Common First School will be marking the school's ruby anniversary in September with a week of 60s-themed activities.
Pupils will be given an insight into life at the school in 1965, with special lessons and food. They will also have the chance to dress up in 60s-style clothes for the day.
The school would like former pupils, who attended on the opening day, to join in the celebrations and are appealing for people to get in touch.
Shirley Ireson, the school's administration manager, said: "We want people who were there on the first day to share any memories and photos of the school. We would also like to invite people in for the day to see how the school has changed."
A party is planned for former pupils who were there on the first day as well as former school staff, on Friday, September 23.
The school is also hoping to take its 60s theme to the Stourport carnival to mark the anniversary.
Anyone interested in taking part in the celebrations can contact Shirley Ireson on 01299 822915.
