TOURPORT'S bleak winter carried on as Paulton Rovers gained revenge for an early season drubbing.
Swifts slumped to a 2-1 defeat in deepest Somerset leaving manager Dave Titterton to reflect on a run of form that has seen the Walshes Meadow side lost five of their last six games.
When the sides met at the start of the season, Stourport handed out a 5-0 drubbing - their biggest league win to date - but all that seemed an age ago in the return and against a side reduced to 10 men for the final half-hour.
A lively opening saw both sides threaten to break the deadlock, Swifts going close through Paul Lloyd and Craig Webb.
And it was the visitors who opened the scoring on 32 minutes when Andy Checketts unleashed a fierce 20-yard drive that flew past the Paulton keeper.
But hanging on to a lead has proved something of a problem to Stourport this season and this was again the case as the Somerset side claimed the spoils with two second half goals.
The equaliser came 10 minutes into the second half when the experienced Steve Tweedle steered his shot home after gathering a pinpoint Chris Lewis cross.
And although they were down to 10 men just two minutes later following the dismissal of defender Ian Hedges for dissent, it was Paulton who went on to bag the winner in the closing stages through Andy Sandell.
Stourport's last league win away from Walshes Meadow came nearly four months ago at Bedworth United - their opponents this weekend.
