TWO women in their 60s were victims of thieves in separate incidents in Kidderminster town centre.
The first took place in Littlewoods caf, in Worcester Street, just before 3.30pm on January 6 when a woman barged the victim.
She later discovered her purse, containing £65 cash and a bank card were missing. The purse was later found but without its contents.
The thief was described as white, aged about 40, of medium height and build, with fair or ginger hair and wearing a red fleece.
In the second incident, at around 1pm on January 7 two women with a child in a pushchair stole a brown leather handbag placed on the floor by a checkout in Iceland by a shopper.
A purse containing £30 was in the bag.
The two women were described as being in their late 20s. One was said to be very thin, with short, dark hair, jeans and a dark coat.
The second woman had a heavier build, with medium length hair. She was wearing white trainers, blue jeans and a top which was dark blue with light blue sleeves.
PC Ian White, Kidderminster police's crime reduction manager, said: "Shoppers are advised to keep bags zipped up, where possible, and never to leave them unattended.
"Men should keep wallets in a front trouser pocket or front jacket pocket. Cards should be kept separate from cheque books."
Anyone with information about the thefts can contact Kidderminster police on 08457 444888.
