A disputed goal in the last seconds of the match prevented Chaddesley Corbett gaining a deserved point against West Midlands division two rivals Wednesfield Reserves as they went down 3-2 at Lucas Sports Ground.
The teams were locked at 2-2 when Wednesfield sub Chris Bough appeared to flick on a cross with his hand, for team-mate Kenny Round to fire home.
Chaddesley players confronted the referee and his assistant, and after a long protest Andy Reynolds was shown the red card. Boss Martin Westcott said: "You cannot legislate for that non-decision. I fail to understand how the match officials never saw the handball.
"I am not saying it was right for eight or nine players to protest at the officials, but it was understable".
Westcott was full of praise for his two strikers, Steve Morris and Steve Hinton, aged 16 and 17 respectively.
He said: "Their movement off the ball was excellent. The game did eventually catch up with them, but you expect that from such young players".
Midfielder Nathan Hart impressed with some good touches on his debut for the side, and Duncan Palmer had a superb match, scoring two goals, and rattling the crossbar with a tremendous free kick.
Chaddesley's next match is on January 29 when they entertain high-flying Malvern Rangers, kick-off 1.45pm.
